HOW DID YOU START INSTALLING HIDDEN FENCES?
We started doing Hidden fences back in 2008 after getting our own system from Vance and spending around $7200 on traditional fences that didn’t keep the dogs in.
We have now installed our 300 fences and contained around 500 dogs and cats and to my knowledge we have had no escapees.
WHAT’S MOST SATISFIYING ABOUT BEING A HIDDEN FENCE PROFESSIONAL OF CENTRAL QUEENSLAND?
When people see you after the installation and say how much you have changed their life.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE BREED OF DOG TO TRAIN TO AN ELECTRONIC DOG FENCE CONTAINMENT SYSTEM, AND WHY?
Staffy’s are my favourite because they learn quickly and understand the training.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE HIDDEN FENCE DOG CONTAINMENT SYSTEM TO USE IN THE FIELD, AND WHY?
I find the best system is the Hidden Fence PT4 Professional dog fence because of its flexibility and how it allows me to train the dogs at a greater level of education.
DO YOU HAVE A GOOD STORY TO SHARE ABOUT CONTAINING A DOG?
The owner of a Husky called Jazz was in remission from cancer and loved this dog more than anything. The dog was always getting out and they lived on 25 acres. It was causing the customer so much stress that she was not recovering from her cancer treatments as fast as she should have been and the next option was to give it away.
She called me in desperation, I went straight out to her place for a quote, explained what we could offer her and how this would help her situation. The quote was for approximately $1700 and (possibly to date one of the hardest jobs I have completed, as I had to go through rock and all sorts) I told her that our dog containment service was 100% guaranteed.
She set a date that day and I installed it within a week. The fence has now been installed for 2 years and everyday for the last 2 years Jazz has tested the fence, she hears the warning and goes back home. I saw this client only 3 months ago and she informed me that Jazz is still testing the fence daily and still to this day has not breached. My client has now also recovered from her treatments and is back at work and looking amazing and healthy!! I feel that because of our perimeter dog fence, it has made a difference in her life not only within her family but her own health and well-being.
WHAT’S THE HARDEST INSTALL YOU’VE ENCOUNTERED?
The hardest install I have completed to date is the 11 acre job on a hill with long grass and really hard ground. This customer could barely get a traditional fence contractor to even quote it.
